PURCHASED THE SOUNDBAR IN JULY OF 2012. LESS THAN 4MONTHS LATER, THE REMOTE STOPPED FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. HAD EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEMS AS THE PREVIOUS REVIEWER. TRIED TO CONTACT RCA VIA WEB-SITE SEEKING ASSISTANCE IN OBTAINING A NEW REMOTE. I HAVE NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM. WILL NOT PURCHASE ANOTHER RCA PRODUCT.

The remote for this soundbar died a week ago. We've had the soundbar 4 months. We replaced the battery, etc., but nothing is working. And trying to get ahold of RCA is impossible. All phone numbers tried just ring busy. Won't buy agian.

So far so good. It was easy to install and seems to work very well. I replaced a home theater with it because my wife and I are both having trouble with our hearing and the home theater didn't seem to have any intermediate settings that would allow us to hear without blowing us out of the room. I haven't been able to sync it with my DirecTV remote, but I'll get around to it sooner or later.
