I am very pleased with this purchase. It enhances the sound from the small flat screen TV speakers to more like theatre sound. I am hearing sounds from TV shows I have watched in the past that I have never heard before. This is an inexpensive way to upgrade without having to put a lot of money into a system and figure out how to connect. This system is basically plug and play. Be advised that the digital audio connection does have protective caps on the connector. Be sure to remove them prior to plugging into your TV and the sound bar. Also be sure to select the source on the sound bar control on top of the unit. You will not get sound until you do. The included cables to connect are only 6 ft long so if you are placing the sound bar away from the TV, be sure to purchase longer cables. The remote could be better. No off/on feature--only mute and the control is very small. Overall I am satisfied

I received this item as a gift, and am VERY happy with the sound quality. My TV is outputting a Digital Coax signal, so I converted it to an optical signal and the sound quality is fantastic.
If your remote does not come with a battery, it's helpful to know that it requires a CR2025.

I bought this unit and after three days the remote stopped working. I called customer service and they sent me a new remote, which didn't work. Then they sent me a new unit and a new remote. The new unit worked for 4 days and then the remote stopped working. They acted surprised on the phone, but I was told on one of the calls that they know the remotes are bad. They said there was a 'bad batch'. So now I am waiting for another remote. The sound quality on both of the units sounded good at first, but then it fades in and out. On one occasion the volume went all the way up to 60 by itself, and then the unit shut off by itself. This sound bar sounds great, when it works, but at other times it will drive a person nuts. I am going to try a universal learning remote if this doesnt work. All in all I would not buy another one of these sound bars. They do, however, make great paper weights.
