By Armand A. Desjardins
This is a great Buy on the recommended Sharp Sound Bar. It works as promised has built in equalizers for type or program you are watching, another great feather is an "aux output" for a base woofer. I plan to use this to a floor 15" speaker (although I need to add an amp to drive this aux output). Will get this done in the next few days.
I strongly recommend this unit to really give your HD TV System the finishing touch. I am using it with a Sharp 46" LC46LE832U High Definition Television set.
Sincerely Fred D.

By Scott Turner
I got this to use in place of the speakers in our living room HDTV, which were of very poor quality. This sound bar gives very good quality for normal television viewing in the room. It is not a surround-sound, wall-shaking, bass-thumping monster, but it's not designed to do that.
The unit is very slim and attractive, and I was able to use the learning function of my TiVo Slide and Glow remotes to program the basic functions (volume up/down, mute, power), so I don't have to use the provided remote unless I want to set a custom function.
I have the bar sitting on the cabinet in front of the TV, but it also comes with wall mounting hardware if you prefer to go that route.
If you're looking for a system to give you 5.1 surround with huge bass response, this isn't it. But if you're looking to replace the tinny speakers in your HDTV with something much more listenable at a reasonable price, this unit does the job nicely.
Update to review after a couple of months: still love this sound bar, but kept having an issue where it would get opposite the television in the power cycle due to the use of a single learning remote to control both, and the fact that the speakers have an auto-on/auto-off feature. Without going into a lot of detail, the system would regularly get to the point where hitting the power button on the learning remote would turn one of them on and the other off, and then vice versa, and I had to grab the dedicated sound bar remote to get it back in sync. I found a nice way around it, which was to make sure that the power controls for the sound bar were not programmed into my remote at all, so that the speakers now turn on and off automatically based on the presence of a sound signal from the TV. It's not a failing of these speakers, or anything, just a complication related to having a modular entertainment system, but the workaround works perfectly and I wanted to pass it along.

By Jon B
I bought the HE HTSB350 sound bar to go with my Sharp Quattron 46-inch. My TV has truly awful speakers, and I wanted to do something short of a full (and expensive) surround sound system. The Sharp sound bar is a huge improvement over the built-in TV speakers. The small size also helps keep the appearance of our living room tasteful.
Obviously, a real surround sound system would be much better. But at this price point, that's not a fair comparison.
