I have a new 42" Panasonic flat screen TV which just has one optical Audio out. The sound on the TV was poor but I bought it for the picture quality and knew I would need some type of sound. I plugged in the optical and power and wow the sound was great including a nice deep bass tone. For a fifty one year old that needs volume and tone this baby delivers. Programmed the mute and volume to my comcast remote so I am packing one remote. :)

this is perfect for my mom! What an excellent way to improve dialog and overall sound from your new flat panel. We needed something to improve the sound for a new 50" LED we bought my mom for Christmas. This is perfect! Easily connected with optical cable in the box and matched the cable remote volume with the ir learning feature and boom! DONE! She is happy and that makes EVERYONE happy! heard it beside the yamaha at HH Gregg where i bought it and it whoops it good!

Hooked it up easy install. The soundbar is 100% better sound than the 46 inch Sharp speakers that came with the TV. I like the fact the subwoofers are built in witch clears up floor space. Highly recommend this soundbar! JRP
