Looking for a soundbar I knew I needed to try it out before I stuck with one so I bought from a store. Though because I do rely heavily on amazon reviews I wanted to put my experience up here.
I was looking in the 100-150$ range for a sound bar. I'm in a house that I will be leaving soon and am not looking for the end-all sound system yet. The soundbar was going in the living room which is quite big and has vaulted ceilings. Because of this I started looking at the high watt sound bar. The first item I picked up was the Philips CSS2123B/F7 2.1 Ultra-Slim Soundbar with Subwoofer. Because It has the woofer I thought it would be able to give a more "full" sound for such a large room. It took about 3 seconds for me to discover that this soundbar was not going to do the job. The sub was booming and the soundbar was not near loud enough. So that went back. The next soundbar was the LG NB2420A Soundbar which had 160 watts and bluetooth. This soundbar had a bit more umph to it's sound but there were no lows or really any mid-range. Its ability to stream music from a phone was very nice but hooked up to the tv/cable box I couldn't get it to get as loud as when I streamed from my phone which I thought was wierd. But like I said, it had no low's to fill in the sound.
I had the Samsung soundbar at the same time as the LG and unhooked the LG and hooked in the Samsung while watching the same movie and the Samsung beats the ever living crud out of the LG. The loudness is VERY close but the samsung has a lot more of a full sound compared to the LG.
For the price we are happy with the samsung and because it's size is much smaller than either of the two we bought before it will fit perfect in front of a 32" even though it currently resides (and looks nice wall mounted ) below a 46" TV in a very large living room.
The 3D sound feature is not "over much" and we believe if bought from the choices at a "Brick and Morter" store this is the best choice.

The only inputs in this device are an HDMI out to the TV, the HDMI in, and an auxillary for components. The HDMI out to the TV requires your TV to have Audio Return Control. If your TV doesn't, and my late 2010 Samsung Plasma (doesn't seem that old, does it?) does not, you will have to use the Auxillary (which I had to plug into the cable box). Why on earth would Samsung create a Sound Bar without an optical input at a minimum? (The next model up has 1 HDMI and 1 optical but costs 100 dollars more!). There were virtually no instructions provided to deal with this situation and no where addresses the issue everyone has which is the existence of the cable box/HD box. I called Samsung and the customer service tech was literally shocked when he determined there was no optical input on this Soundbar. He also couldn't tell me whether my plasma had ARC. His instruction was to go buy a 1.4 HDMI cord (only HDMI cords that will handle ARC), and then plug and unplug the cord into each of the four HDMI inputs on the TV to see if any will work. Why is Samsung making products that you have to go through this process to determine whether it will even work? For heck's sake, I have to go buy a new HDMI cord because I don't know if my existing HDMI cords are 1.4!!!??? What a horrible process.

I ordered this with my girlfriend for a birthday gift for her father. He loves it. It's working great so far, and sounds awesome. With the new hdmi cables v1.4 the inputs will automatically switch, and it connects perfectly to the newer hd televisions. He has it under a 32" LED tv, and the size of this sound bar is the prefect size for the tv. It also comes with a nice bracket for mounting the the wall. But the main thing is that it really sounds great, and is a pretty good price. I would recommend this sound bar
